Amish Friendship Bread Instructions

Do not use a metal bowl or spoon for mixing

Do not refridgerate

If air gets in the bag, let it out



Day 1 do nothing

Day 2-5 Squeeze the bag

Day 6 Add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk, squeeze

Day 7-9 Squeeze

Day 10 Combine in LARGE bowl

Batter in bag

1 cup flour

1 cup sugar

1 cup milk

Mix with something wooden or plastic. Pour 1 cup starter into each of 4 ziploc bags to give away.



To the remaining batter in the bowl (a little more than 1 cup), add:



1 cup oil

1 cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla

3 large eggs

1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

2 cups flour

1/2 cup milk

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 large box instant vanilla pudding

2 tsp cinnamon

optional: add 1 cup nuts or 1/2 cup raisins



Grease and sugar 2 large loaf pans. Pour batter in pans and sprinkle top with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 325 for 1 hour. Let cool before removing from pans.

She's growing up so fast

We went to check out the Y tonight. (We joined already, but they haven't "officially" opened.) I signed Adia up for the Parent & Child swim lessons, not wanting to leave her alone in the water.



After leaving the Y, I realized that it was for ages 3 and under, so I gave her the choice of having me there or not. (What're they going to do, kick us out of class?) Her answer?



"I don't need you there, Mommy.. I can learn by myself."



*sigh*



So into the beginner "big kid" class she goes.

She spent the morning with three little boys playing in the woods.

On a side note, the Y is freakin' awesome!  I need sneakers, but then I'll be able to go drop them off while I take a class or work out on the machines. :)

Wanna buy a house?

Because ours is officially for sale!  The Realtor came by, put signs in the yard, put on a lockbox, and took our signed listing agreement with her when she left!

We also got to check out the foreclosure across the street.  Our house is a pretty sweet deal compared to it!

Also, for the first time in forever, our bedroom feels HUGE again.  Ditto Adia's bedroom.
